This study explores the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related technologies in contemporary education, focusing on their application in teaching and learning processes. It investigates how AI tools such as adaptive learning platforms, AI-powered tutoring, and automated feedback systems are currently utilized, alongside educators’ and students’ perceptions of their benefits and challenges. The research highlights significant improvements in student learning outcomes and engagement due to AI-driven personalized learning experiences. However, it also identifies critical concerns around data privacy, algorithmic bias, equity, and cognitive effects from overdependence on AI. The study underscores the evolving role of educators as facilitators supported by AI, advocating for ethical integration, comprehensive AI literacy, and equitable access. Recommendations are provided to optimize AI use in education while safeguarding pedagogical integrity and inclusivity. These findings contribute to understanding AI’s potential and limitations in shaping the future of education globally.
